Welcome to Yoga@thelounge!
Namaste, I’m Verena, and I’m the owner and custodian of Yoga at The Lounge in Cleveland.
Yoga has been part of my life for many years — not just as a practice, but as a place I return to for grounding, balance, and connection. Through the many seasons of life, as a woman and a mother, yoga has been my anchor, a way to steady myself, listen inward, and come back to what truly matters.
When my Husband Michael and I moved up from Melbourne, we discovered Yoga at The Lounge together. We arrived simply as students, looking for connection, community, and a place that felt like our home away from home. From the very first classes, there was a sense that this space was special, a feeling of warmth, safety, and something quietly sacred. What began as a shared practice slowly deepened into a calling, and over time I stepped into the role of caring for this beautiful space.
Alongside teaching yoga, my deepest love is restorative yoga, meditation, and the healing arts. These practices invite deep rest, calm the nervous system, and create space for healing in a world that often moves too fast. Rest, for me, is not a luxury — it’s essential.
Yoga at The Lounge is more than a studio to me. It is a sanctuary, a place where you are invited to slow down, breathe, move, and show up exactly as you are.
My intention is to create a welcoming, nurturing environment where mind, body, and soul can come back into harmony, and where wellbeing feels accessible, human, and kind.
Whether you are brand new to yoga or have been practising for years, you are invited to join our community.
